A Fuzzy Concept

In this film, Ralph Lambrecht deals with the visual perception of image clarity, which we like to call sharpness.

He clarifies this 'fuzzy concept', as Ansel Adams referred to it, by simply dividing it into the measurable entities of resolution, acutance and contrast.

With the help of practical examples is illustrated how these three factors influence our perception of image clarity, and how they interact with each other to provide us with sharpest image possible.
