Welcome to the FotoTV program "Digital Image Editing." Digital image editing has become the equivalent to the darkroom techniques of the past but offers photographers so much more. Digital image editing has opened new doors in image editing by giving the photographer more options and control.

While there are those who may still love to spend time in the red light of the darkroom, digital image editing has created so many more possibilities in composition that it has become the preference for many. In fact, for many photographers, digital image editing is as important as taking the photos in the first place.

We here at FotoTV will try to teach you about Photoshop and its specific use for photographers.

It is easy to get overwhelmed and lost in all of the tools in Photoshop but it is important to remember that they are just that, tools. By playing around with things like filters and experimenting with the endless possibilities offered in Photoshop, your photo doesn´t necessarily get any better. But if you master these tools and have a good idea of what you want to achieve, you can improve your images.
