Overdrawn accounts, reminders, fee collections

Unfortunately, it happens more and more often that subscriptions are sold without having the funds to cover the payments.

So what happens then? The charge is sent back, and this can be very expensive. The cost of this – 20 Euros – need to then be calculated. Therefore, please make sure that the account can cover the costs. The same goes for credit card bookings: if the subscriber allows the payment to be sent back, the same charges apply.

You will receive a payment reminder for the subscription and fees, as well as 10 days time in which to transfer the payment.

Afterwards, everything turns into a dunning process. With every new reminder comes a new fee, at the moment these stand at 2.39 Euros per reminder.

If we still receive no payment, the issue gets passed to a lawyer, and this is where it gets very expensive. We don’t earn much, and need to make sure that as a small company, our subscriptions are paid. The lawyer costs run at a minimum of 35 Euros. If the case goes to court, the costs quickly run over 75 Euros.

But to calm your nerves, before it comes to all this, we will send you numerous emails, letters and will call you. There will be no surprise visits from bailiffs standing outside your door.

For our and your sake, we ask that you only buy a subscription if the account can cover the costs, and payments with credit cards are booked back only after having spoken with us. This saves everyone money and nerves!
